Education & Participation

hero-news1

BARMPOT THEATRE has been collaborating with schools around the United Kingdom, encouraging arts education through performances and running participatory workshops to inspire the young ones.

We believe that creativity is an essential educational tool. Through workshops and performances at schools around the UK, we aim to inspire children’s imagination, develop interest in the performing arts, raise awareness and educate the young ones. We are especially interested in working at areas with lower arts engagement and encourage participation.

Bring Penguinpig and Sophie to your school

Penguinpig has been created in line with the National Curriculum’s aim for safer Internet practice for KS1, which is that children “are responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology”.

It is an interactive show, which approaches e-safety in an exciting and accessible way for children, using beautiful puppetry, catchy songs and a fun and child centered narrative story. The e-safety theme of the show is explored further through our interactive and age-appropriate follow-up workshops (suitable for both EYFS and KS1). Our production also comes with a teacher’s resource pack.
