Education & Participation

hero-news1

Since forming in 2015, Barmpot Theatre has been collaborating with schools across England and Wales, encouraging arts education through performances and running participatory workshops to inspire children and young people.

We believe that creativity is an essential educational tool. Through workshops and performances at schools around the UK, we aim to inspire children’s imagination, develop interest in the performing arts, raise awareness and educate children, young people and families.

All of our productions are underpinned by educational themes, and these are often supported by interactive workshops to bring these themes to life.

Previous educational themes include awareness around internet safety, and teaching children about nature in their locale. Art forms used include drama, story-telling, script and short-story writing, puppetry, outdoor learning techniques and craft workshops (including origami, clay/pottery and macrame), promoting a wide range of arts, crafts and drama skills to children.
